These images here were taken using a Nikon D2X with a standard 18-55mm lens.
So our initial project is to explore 18% grey objects in the studio. The objective is mainly to allow us to learn how to effectively light objects in a studio environment. The grey objects make a perfect learning tool, just because they are the same colour all over and the grey paint is not as reflective as the original surface of the object.

IMAGES THREE AND FOUR.
These images were taken using a trick I learnt a few years ago. Using a standard 18-55mm lens a pretty efficient macro image can be taken by simply flipping the lens over and manually changing the aperture. The outcome looks rather surreal.
